Will PCI x16 ports work with a PCI express 2.0 video card?

I wont to know Im buying a HIS Hightech Radeon HD4850 IceQ 4 Turbo 512MB and my motherboard only has a PCI x16 port so will PCI express 2.0 work with a PCI x16 port?|||There are Two versions of PCI-Express being used for graphics cards, right now.

PCI-Express 1.1 version.

PCI-Express 2.0 version.

The 16X refers to 16 Lanes.

16 Lanes used for graphics data (Information)

The data is transferred back and forth across these 16 lanes.

PCI-Express is a Technology.

PCI-Express 2.0 is Backward Compatible with PCI-Express 1.1

You can use a graphics card based on the PCI-E 2.0 technology, in a PCI-E 1.1 slot.

You won't get the full capability of the PCI-E 2.0 graphics card.

You WON'T NOTICE it either!

You may drop some frame rates.

2 to 4 frame rates.

You WON'T notice this.

Use the PCI-E 2.0 card, and be happy.

MAKE SURE, you have a power supply, that will supply enough power for the HD4850 card.|||Yes it will but will not have the full speed card is capable of.|||i thought i just answered this? yes it will i have the same situation
