I have PCI express 1.0 x16 I bought a PCI Express 2.0 video card does that matter?

I have an Emachine T5082. I just bought the Sparkle GeForce 9400 GT Video Card 1GB.

According to the ESSENTIAL SPECS:

• Interface Type: PCI Express 2.0 x16

• Maximum Resolution: 2560 x 1600 (Digital)

• Video Memory: 1024B DDR2

however my computer has PCI express 1.0 x16 does that matter?|||no it doesnt just PCI Express 2.0 can transfer data quicker|||No, it won't matter. PCIe 2.0 card are backwards compatible with PCIe 1.0 interfaces on motherboards. The only difference between 1.0 and 2.0 is that 2.0 can make data "travel" faster, which would technically be a performance gain.

However, It wouldn't make a difference if your motherboard supports PCIe 2.0 anyway, as there aren't any games out right now that can take advantage of that increased bandwidth. There pretty much won't be anything that will take advantage of that bandwidth for a while actually.
