PCI video card question?

Hey, I have this mobo, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813127016

I'm planing to upgrade my video card. I see that it has a PCI Express x16 but beside it says (PCI-Express x8 bandwidth). Does that mean the PCI Express x16 card will run in Express x8 mode?

If so, I'm guessing it would be better off buyng a PCI-Express x8 card than a PCI Express x16 card ?

Thanks in advance.|||basically it will take pci/e 16x card but its only capable of 8x speeds its a limitation of the NVIDIA nForce 405 chipset|||Im pretty sure that pci-e x16 is better. It depends on what slot you have too. Im also pretty sure that they are diffrent slots but not totally.|||If it supports PCI x 16 then it will support x 8 and regular pci express, If you going to upgrade go with the fastest one no reason to go backwards on this.

Currently there is 3 video cards in the market.

Regular PCI older model, AGP previous model and PCI express latest model, each model different slot size.

Then within PCI expres you got PCI express and PCI express x 16|||it might be saying that one card is x16 but if you SLI it..it will only see both cards as x8 each
