I have a 8800 GTX which is pci express x16 1.1 and i need to buy a new motherboard, but all motherboards are pci express 2.0 now. Will my video card work on the new motherboard?|||Yes.
The only difference between the two slots is a higher bandwidth on 2.0 ... the interface is the same.
It would also work the other way around (2.0 card on 1.1 slot).
