Video card-pci express x16-what is the best video card I can get in the?

$130 to $175 dollar range from Newegg.com. I prefer Newegg as it is the best overall store I have found. My pc specs are quad phenom amd,4 gigs 1066 ddr2 system ram, present video card is 9800gt. Also prefer high memory clock speed and 256 bit. Any input is appreciated.|||The best card around your target price is the Radeon HD 6850... Unfortunately it's about $5 over your budget limit.

The next-best card is probably the 768mb GeForce GTX 460, which is fine as long as you're playing at resolutions of 1920x1080 or lower. Even though it's a 192-bit card, it's still superior to 256-bit older designs such as the GTX 260 and radeon 4870. The 256-bit GTX 460 cards (1gb models) cost around $200 so they're out of your price range.

Update: This 1gb model from EVGA is on sale, but it's underclocked at 650Mhz... still, I'd take that over the 768mb version.

The other potential issue is the power requirement. Cards of this level require two dedicated PCI-E power connectors from a 500W or higher psu, compared to lower-end cards like the GTS 450 and Radeon 5770 which only require a single power connector and 450W.
