Is an 8800GT video card still the best card if you don't have PCI Express x16 2.0?

If my motherboard doesn't have PCI Express x16 2.0 will an 8800GT still be a good card? I mean, if all the data bandwidth, stream processors, and other advantages of 2.0 are removed, would it still be good, or should I go with a cheaper x16 card that will have the same performance as an 8800GT in a 1.1 slot?|||No granted the 8800GT's performance won't be at top notch, as it would if it were in a PCI-E 2.0 slot, but many users have stated they didn't notice the difference. Gamers around here do not either. Whether that's ignorance on our part, or what have you, the 8800GT does the job. I really recommend the 8800GT even with a PCI-E 1.1 version expansion slot.
