Contrary to what someone said you wont get any hit in performance because there isn't a video card out right now that actually needs more than a PCI-ExpressX16 slot. I run 2 ATI 4870s in CF on an Asus X48 board that runs them both at X16. If X16 can handle the massive bandwidth of a 4870s DDR 5 memory it won't have any prob with the DDR3 on a 9800GT.|||Yes, the graphic card is backward compatiable with PCI Express 1.0 you should have no problem. However, the transfer rate of data will be half so you won't get the maximum performance off the graphic card.
Make sure the power suppy is more than 450 Watts. thats all there is to it.|||pci 2.0 x16 cards is backward compatible|||Yes it will.|||Yes.I use the same in my pc.|||yes ;)
