Video card pci question?

I have a hp pavilion a1310n and want to upgrade the graphics on it. It has one pci express x16 and 3 pci slots.

My question is will any pci express x16 card work with my computer? Also will any regular pci card work?

Thanks|||Yes any PCIEx16 card will work in your computer, given your PC has the proper power supply, to power the card.

Don't even ask about a PCI card, you are asking for more of a headache than it is worth....|||In short, yes.|||My question is will any pci express x16 card work with my computer?

:Yes

Also will any regular pci card work?

:Yes, but there is absolutely no point if you are able to get a pci express x16 card|||Any PCI part should work.

As for the PCI express x16 you'll need to make sure your power supply will give enough power. (Check wattage of Graphics card)

Yes any will work but if it's faster than your Mother Board then it will only go slower to keep up with your PC. >> (Just make sure your computer supplies enough power.)

Extra info:

800 Watts should be fine with most PCI express, though a 650W should work as well. You may need to do some research on your PC to make sure it has enough power circulating. (Check your Motherboard consuption and Power supply output and subtract to see if you have enough.) :)
