Would a PCI Express x16 2.0 slot accept a PCI Express x16 1.1 video Card?

because i am looking to purchase a new mobo and cpu but i dont want to buy a video card if i dont have to...|||Most are backwards compatible. But it would be a good idea to check the manufacturer's web site for further info.|||yes, the transfers are slower.|||yeah, its just like USB, 2.0 is faster than 1.1 and you can use a 2.0 GPU in a 1.1 slot. the mobo im looking at is a 2.0 x 1 and 1.X x 2. go for it and see if your mobo will allow it. it should in my best knowledge
