1GB 128-bit DDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x16 video broken?

I just got this pci video card

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121347R&nm_mc=TEMC-RMA-Approvel&cm_mmc=TEMC-RMA-Approvel-_-Content-_-text-_-

When I put it on my pc it works fine but when I start a game (FFXI) it shows whire dots and lines onit but not on the destop only on the game, is it broken? how can it be fixed? maybe a reflow on the video chip will fix it?

Thank you for those who helped :)|||Does it happen in every game or just that one?

Have you got your colour depth set correctly in the game and in windows?

Is anti-aliasing turned on or off in the game?

Also try installing the latest drivers for the card and see if theres any updates for the game.|||Try googling, and downloading burn in test. Once you have done that, start it up and use the configuration panel to set it to run a 3d graphics test only. If the graphics on that show up the same way, you should probably uninstall, and reinstall the drivers... If that does not fix it, yeah, you might have an issue with the chip, but because it works fine otherwise, I doubt a re-flow would help very much. You would probably be best off exchanging it.

Oh... if you don't want to do the burn in test route, you could just try a different program that requires 3D rendering.
