I have a pci express x16 2.0 video card. Can I use that in a pci express x16 mobo?
if so what are the drawbacks?|||Yes you can. The only drawback is that the PCIe 1.1 slot's data transfer rate is lower so it can't transfer data as fast as 2.0 slot. A PCIe 2.0 video card will just default to the PCIe 1.1 slot's transfer speed, so it will still work.|||You can use it in the old motherboard, however you won't be able to reek the full benefits of having a pci express 2.0 card, such as the higher bandwidth and power allocations. Nothing to really worry about unless your are a serious gamer.
