Did I take out my old video card right?

I just upgraded my video card from a 9400gt to an hd 5770. I am wondering if I took the old card out correctly. It felt like I couldn't pull straight out of the pci express x16 slot because it was being help. So instead of pulling straight up and out I used the small notch at the bottom of the card and pushed down on it, pulling the other end of the card up. Is this correct?|||well its too late now isnt it|||Yes, you did fine. The little clip next to the slot needs to be pressed to release the graphics card. It is there so that the graphics card cannot fall out of the slot for example.
