Will a PCI Express 2.0 x 16 video card I'm considering work in PCI Express x16 slot?

My Gigabyte motherboard model GA-MA69GM-2SH has only one (1) PCI E x 16 slot (and no mention of 2.0) so I was wondering if a video card I'm looking at will fit the PCI Express x 16 slot in my home build PC.

The new card is for a PCI Express 2.0 x 16 slot. Here's the video card if you want to have a look:

Thanks for your response.|||PCIe 2.0 motherboard slots are fully backward compatible with PCIe v1.x cards. PCIe 2.0 cards are also generally backward compatible with PCIe 1.x motherboards, using the available bandwidth of PCI Express 1.1. Overall, graphic cards or motherboards designed for v 2.0 will be able to work with the other being v 1.1 or v 1.0.|||This card will work in the slot, however you will not be harvesting the full power of it.

Yours, John|||Yes, 2.0 is backwards compatible with 1.0.
